"Rindou" has two meanings in Japanese. It's homonymy. One means the flower name gentiana(竜胆). And another one means the forest road(林道).

In this video, Yuichi Onoue plays handmade original instrument which is called "Kaisatsuko".
"Kaisatsuko" is an electric two strings upright fiddle. But it is not performed with a bow. The rotating wheel (which is rotated by my handling) rubs strings and makes sound like Hurdy-Gurdy.
