Universal ladies take over Russia.

Eighty-six pageant contestants modeled their national costumes at a shopping mall in Moscow ahead of the 62nd Miss Universe Pageant.

Sporting outfits with feathery plumes and elaborate headpieces, the ladies stopped shoppers in their tracks.

Earlier, pageant contenders posed for journalists poolside at a luxury estate outside of Moscow.

On November 9 the contestants will compete for the crown in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview.
