THE CRESCENT MOON
Today’s moon is not for fondling,
or for romancing;
Nor is it for reminiscence of old
lover’s tales!
Do not ever try to caress its sharp,
crescent shape;
Mistakenly thinking it to be the waist,
or the hipline, -
Of your beloved’s naked shape!
Restrain yourself, before your fingers
starts to bleed profusely!
For today’s moon is a symbol of the
cutting sickle,
Of those starved and hungry farmers –
of our age!
