School girl suspected in classmate death

A Japanese girl attending this high school in Nagasaki prefecture has been arrested on suspicion of killing and dismembering her classmate.
The 16-year-old suspect is being held here in this local police station. She admitted beating and strangling a 15 year-old girl.
Police found a decapitated body, a dismembered hand and various tools in the suspect's apartment.
The principle held a news conference at the high school, saying the two girls were believed to have been friends.
He also asked the police to remove some unauthenticated photographs from the internet, that were allegedly taken by the suspect and reportedly show a bleeding hand.
He said the pictures could upset children at the school.
