For the Spring Summer 2014 collection of Givenchy, Riccardo Tisci studied the street style of the past few seasons, to create long draped dresses designed to communicate a sense of ease with oneself.
On this catwalk Africa and Japan can coexist with a new vision-version.
No more sweatshirts or bomber jackets, hip hop t-shirt or stars and floral patterns, all Givenchy's past hits. Jersey is the starting point for a collection that features garments in earth tones that are draped on the body, fastened by braces and napa bras. Japan is found in the oversized jackets and pleated kimono coats worn with tuxedo pants.
