"VIKTOR & ROLF" Haute Couture Autumn Winter 2013 2014 Paris by Fashion Channel
Viktor and Rolf are known for their charming, at times quirky take on glamour and the theatrical way in which they present their collections, presented during the last Paris Fashion Week.
The recent addition of legendary stylist, Marie-Amélie Sauvé to the Viktor and Rolf team was certainly felt in this collection and the straightforward presentation kept the focus directly on the clothes.
To celebrate 20 years of activity, designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren go back exactly where they started from haute couture, though, after a 13 year absence, they opt for a very conceptual collection featuring 20 looks in tech silk all rigorously black and yet all different, each with its own identity and, assembled together, they form a tableau vivant in the shape of a zen garden. The result is incredible.
More then a fashion show, but a real artistic performance.
All in all the looks the fresh-faced cast sauntered down the runway in were finely crafted and showcased a new side of this much loved brand.
