Few nights agot at Cipriani Wall Street in Manhattan the stars of fashion, film and entertainment came together for the major event that kicks off the New York Fashion Week.
As every year the amfAR Gala stands out for being one of the inevitable events of the season and especially as a great opportunity to once again support the foundation amfAR in its fight against AIDS. A lot of the guests of the gala which saw the live performance of Cee Lo Green and Alan Cumming and the awarding of Heidi Klum and Janet Jackson were awarded prizes for their social commitment.
Also Sarah Jessica Parker (in Maison Martin Margiela) this year in collaboration with Kenneth Cole has created a series of limited edition handbags in the proceeds of the sale will own the research against the disease.
Among the many guests present at the event Mayor Bloomberg, Katharine McPhee, Michael Kors, Carol Alt, Crystal Renn, Lindsay Lohan, John Legend and Doutzen Kroes.
