Whenever I get up at night
The digital numbers always display “2: 47 am”

I still remember that beautiful day
When we first met
You were surrounded with exquisite roses
As far as I can see

I always perceived those roses as a sign
A sign that represented how alive you made me feel

I still remember that bright day
When you told me about all the pain you felt
And how alive I made you feel
And how love is stronger than the death you felt through out your life

It kills me to know that those roses represented death
And how much love moved you closer to the end

I wish the sun would never come
Only your bright nature was strong enough to alleviate my broken heart

I wonder if my heart will ever mend...
