It is so beautiful, nice and round
Like a balloon you blow
Spreading light across the night
With it’s warm and golden glow
White clouds cover its baldhead
As though to protect it from the eerie night
And when another cloud takes over
It says farewell and takes flight
Glowing brighter and brighter
As the night grows more and more dark
Lighting up the streets,
My terrace and the park
Rising fast above the horizon
As though in a haste
As though it had no time to lose
No time at all to waste
It yawned and said,
“Now nap time, let me go to the other side”
And before it went to sleep
It looked at our beautiful earth and sighed.
