Dónall Dempsey - ' ' ' ' ' PATHETIC FALLACY(for Byran)

The sky is lonely

stands aloof from
its clouds

that look like
two stuck on cotton wool balls.

Quietness leaks
into the scene

staining it
the colour of forever.

A willow weeps
to itself.

A fountain sobs.

Sobs.

Such pathetic
fallacy

as if I were walking through
a text book of figures of speech

filled full
with striking examples.

I, however am
surprisingly happy.

A bird
thinking it's Duchamp or Dali

draws a quick moustache
with its fanciful flight

on the sky's startled
face.

Me & the lake
laughing.
