On Sunday, a rescue operation was launched to rescue a dog that was stranded on an ice patch on a river in Massachusetts.

On Sunday, an operation was launched to rescue a dog that was stranded on an ice patch floating on a Massachusetts river. Officials from the Wellesley police and fire departments are the heroes who saved the golden retriever-poodle mix named Cooper.  

The day after he went missing, Cooper's owners were handing out fliers for the dog after he got spooked and took off running. One of the individuals ended up spotting Cooper on a chunk of ice floating on the water.
