5-year-old Josiah Duncan was with his mother at an Alabama Waffle House when he spotted a homeless man, and soon it became his mission to get him a hot meal.

All too often when people see a homeless person they avert their eyes and quell their urge to lend a helping hand.

When 5-year-old Josiah Duncan saw a disheveled individual standing outside of an Alabama Waffle House where he and his mother were eating, he barraged his mom with questions about him. 

Upon learning the man was without a home, friends to lean on, or a likely a sufficient food supply, he convinced his mother to buy him some food.
