Perveen Shakiir (24 Nov 1952- 26 Dec 1994) was a great and well-known poet of Pakistan. She was a teacher and a civil servant of Pakistan.Her poetry books: *KHUSHBU* (Fragrance) 1976, *SAD-BURG* (March Marigold) 1980, *KHUD KALAMI* (soliloquy) and *INKAAR* (Denial) 1990 received immense appreciation. She was awarded Presidential Award- Pride of Performance. The biggest award. Compere: Amjad Islam Amjad, a great poet.
