Family members of Colombian lawyer Jesus Maria Valle, who was murdered in 1998 due to his defense of poor campesinos in the state of Antioquia, have accused former president Alvaro Uriba of collusion in his death when Uribe was state governor. A former paramilitary leader revealed that Valle's killing was ordered by a top state government official and family members and their lawyers said it was inconceivable that Uribe was not aware of the plan. teleSUR
