Nazila Fathi reported on Iran for The New York Times, Time and Agence France-Presse. Fathi drew attention to acts of violence committed by the violence by the Iranian government against peaceful protestors until the threats against her life became too serious and she was forced to flee the country. In 2014 she published ‘The Lonely War,’ an account of her experience and the history of Iran since the 1979 revolution.
