Bajaj Platina new model launch has officially taken place! Christened as the Bajaj Platina 100 ES, the new model has been launched to re-vitalize the sales performance of the Platina brand of commuter motorcycles. It maybe noted that the Bajaj Platina, which is an entry-level model in BAL‘s product portfolio, has clocked decent sales in the past. However, all thanks to the advent of some newer rivals, times have changed for this humble Bajaj offering. Now, Bajaj is hoping that with the introduction of the new model, the low-cost commuter would get a new lease of life. Here are all the details we have related to the Bajaj Platina new model launch.
As seen in the pics, the Platina 100 ES new model will get Bajaj’s patented DTSi technology. It also gets an electric-start. It maybe noted that currently, the Platina doesn’t come with DTSi engine and the introduction of a new DTSi motor should lead to a significant rise in power figures of the Platina. There are chances that the Platina ES will get a 102cc engine that will have a max power of 8.2 BHP and peak torque of 8.7 Nm. While the bike has a top speed of 91 kmph, braking duties come from 110 mm drum brakes at both the end.
With the launch of the new Bajaj Platina 100ES, Bajaj has kickstarted its product offensive for the year 2015. Rajiv Bajaj recently revealed to media that his company plans to launch at least six new models in the coming months and the latest Platina model becomes first of the new bikes from Pune-based bike maker. Bajaj hopes that the new Platina will boost the monthly sales from this brand to 80,000 units in domestic MARKET.
