Për here te pare, ne doganën shqiptare te Kakavijës do te jete edhe një kontrollor grek, ndërsa ne palën greke do te jete një shqiptar.
Ky vendim është marre nga drejtuesit e policisë kufitare te Gjirokastrës dhe Janinës, te cilët kane nënshkruar edhe një marrëveshje bashkëpunimi. Shkëmbimi i punonjësve synon kthimin qe ne fillim te personave, qe nuk përmbushin kriteret për te lëvizur ne hapësirën shengen. Një tjetër pike e nënshkruar mes shefit te policisë se Gjirokastrës Emri Vata dhe homologut te tij ne Janinevasilis Theoharis ishte koordinimi i punës mes dy efektiveve ne puften kundër trafikut te narkotikeve. Sektorët kundër trafikut te drogës pritet te kryejnë veprime te përbashkëta jo vetëm ne brezin jeshil por edhe ne pikat e kalimit kufitar. Një mase e tille vjen pas evidentimit te rasteve te vazhdueshme te trafikut te lendeve narkotike drejt Greqisë, sidomos hashashit te prodhuar ne Lazarat.
