New Delhi, Feb 18 (ANI): A little-known handset manufacturer, Ringing Bells, launched what is being called as the world’s cheapest smartphone, priced at Rs 251. The smartphone is called Freedom 251 and it is in line with the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. The phone was unveiled by senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Murli Manohar Joshi. Ringing Bells president Ashok Kumar Chadha said bookings for the smartphone will begin on Thursday. We have come to you with our offering of a 4-inch android 3G smartphone which we wish to start offering from tomorrow morning. The bookings will open (tomorrow) and the price of (the phone will be rupees) 251. He added that deliveries, however, would only be completed by June 30.
