The provokation was due to Mohanlal's participation in actor Ganesh Kumar's election campaign at Pathanapuram. The
resignation has been sent to general secretary of AMMA Actor Mammootty. Written as Salim Kumar's reason in the report,
AMMA has prohibited actors to be a part of any election
campaign and because of that Innocent denied Jagadish's request to come to a campaign.
