Justin Timberlake could go to jail for 30 days for taking a selfie in a voting booth.
On Monday, the singer traveled to his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, to take advantage of early voting.
Last year, Tennessee passed a law forbidding voters from using their phones to make calls, take photos or shoot video while inside a polling location, according to a report from TNReport.
Voters can use phones, but only for “informational purposes to assist the voter in making election decisions.”
According to TMZ, the Shelby County District Attorney is looking into the photo.
If prosecuted, the singer could face 30 days in jail and a $50 fine, though no one has been in the past.
