President-elect Donald Trump was among the first U.S. leaders to release a statement on Cuban president's Fidel Castro death. Trump tweeted "Fidel Castro is dead!" early Saturday morning in light of the news. Trump later released an official statement, where he called Castro a "brutal dictator" who caused "unimaginable suffering" to the Cuban people. the president-elect's statement said. The Cuban revolutionary died November 25 at the age 90.
