The Tamil Nadu legislative assembly was adjourned after Speaker Dhanpal who was heckled by the DMK MLAs walked out. Dhanpal, was gheraoed had to be rescued by the marshals in the assembly. There was absolute chaos in the assembly after DMK MLAs tore papers, flung mikes and hurled chairs. The DMK and the OPS camp repeatedly demanded that the trust vote be held through a secret ballot.
