A businessman who allegedly offered the Sultan of Johor a RM2 million bribe to obtain a "Tan Sri" title for another party was remanded for five days today, reports Star Online.
He will be held from today until April 4 to assist in the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigation into the matter.
The 54-year-old "Tan Sri" who was remanded under Section 16 of the MACC Act, reportedly arrived at the Putrajaya magistrate's ourt at 9.30am, clad in lock-up garb and escorted by MACC officers.
