Police, SWAT Respond to Reports of 2 Officers Shot After Robbery in Seattle

Two police officers suffered injuries after being shot in Seattle, Washington, on Thursday, April 20, after they responded to a robbery near Western Avenue and Madison Street.

The police department provided updates, tweeting a male officer and female officer were taken to the hospital. One suspect was detained, another was found with “significant injuries” and at the time of writing, a hunt for a third suspect was underway.

According to the Seattle Times, an employee with a 7-11 story at 627 First Avenue confirmed the robbery happened there.

Nearby buildings were on lockdown and streets were closed as police officers wearing tactical gear swarmed to the scene.
