It’s Day 15 of New Zealand’s Biggest Gap Year where we are doing 365 days of 365 activities in New Zealand! Today’s activity is having dinner at Hobbiton as part of a night tour of the Hobbiton Movie Set!

We make our way to Matamata, a town in the Waikato region of New Zealand, where The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit was filmed. We arrive in Hobbiton and the Hobbiton Night Tour begins! We have a look at the Hobbit Holes and learn all the behind-the-scenes secrets of The Lord of the Rings movies on this tour around Hobbiton village.

Once we arrive at the famous Green Dragon Tavern in Hobbiton it is time to feast like a Hobbit! We have dinner at Hobbiton by sitting down to a grand banquet. However, Robin ends up over-doing it, so when we do the night segment of our Hobbiton Night tour, Robin is burping and farting his way around Hobbiton... Nevertheless, we get to see the magic of Hobbiton by night, which is pretty darn special.
