An amusing clip from Canada of a squirrel stealing the must-have "Fingerling" toy.

In the video, which was filmed last month in Montreal, the squirrel picks up the plastic monkey and runs with it up a tree.

Fortunately, the rodent drops the popular Christmas gift and it falls to the ground.

Fingerlings are sold out in many shops and are predicted to be among the best-selling children's toys this Christmas.
