Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee said on Tuesday it was postponing a planned hearing to consider Trump’s nominee. Ronny Jackson, the presidential physician, was nominated by Trump to be veterans affairs secretary. The senate committee delayed the confirmation in light of “new information” it had received.
