It's 'selective outrage' time again... The policies of the last administration have separated families in Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, Honduras, Mexico, etc., etc.; but somehow Trump is the only 'bad guy'? People despise Jeff Sessions, but Joe Biden crafted the racist 1994 Omnibus Crime bill. Weed was still a schedule 1 drug under Obama, placing Africans overwhelmingly in prison for non-violent drug offences. Obama signed the 'Blue Lives Matter' bill, and the supreme court under that administration voted that it was okay to search someone's car without a warrant.
But a Trump administration has exacerbated these racist and xenophobic policies (including the crafting of the 'Black Identity Extremist' report, hearkening back to CoIntelpro), that people can't look past Trump, understanding that an Obama administration didn't care about the rights of systemically oppressed people either.
Everything that happened in the last administration (and the administration before that, and so on) have paved the way for what is being seen now. Trump being selected is not coincidental. The difference is, Trump is so up front with it, and Obama was 'smooth'. Covert vs. overt.
(and yes, i know the video cut off... i am okay with that. The main point still exists in the video. If someone learns something or gets anything of value, then the video did its job).
