A 4,000-acre fire forced the partial closure of Highway 12 near Suisun City, Solano County on October 7 as the fire department fought to contain the fast-moving flames.

This video, filmed along the highway, shows thick plumes of smoke ahead.

Authorities responded to the fire just before 11 am . The fire jumped the highway and was temporarily closed, though it did not threaten the city.
