A photo of Mississippi GOP Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith in a Confederate hat has surfaced on Facebook. According to Politico, Hyde-Smith took the photo during a visit to the Jefferson Davis Home and Presidential Library in 2014. The photo comes after her controversial "public hanging” comments during a recent campaign stop. Hyde-Smith is running against Democrat Mike Espy, who is African-American, in a November 27 runoff.
