On Wednesday Refinery29 reported that an 8-year-old boy from Guatemala died while in custody of U.S. Customs and Border Patrol late on Christmas Eve. He is the second migrant child to die while in immigration detention this month alone. According to CBP, the child and his father were detained on December 18 when they crossed into the U.S. and then being transferred to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
