Shiv Sena cadres allegedly vandalized the BMC office at Worli in South Mumbai on Monday night soon after Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan sent out a strong message to the Sena leadership against the temporary memorial being turned into a permanent one. Police say 7-8 people were involved in last night's incident.
After the violence, police has extended security to all 24 Brihan Mumbai Corporation wards across the city.
