Natwar Singh writes that Sonia Gandhi was unhappy with former Prime Minister PV ​Narasimha Rao for slow progress in the trial of Rajiv Gandhi's assassination. ​Rao felt Sonia Gandhi's behaviour towards him was like a "slap in the face" and confided to Natwar Singh that Sonia Gandhi's hostile attitude was affecting his health.
