A headmaster of a madrasa in Kolkata's Metiabruz area, Kazi Masum Akhtar was allegedly beaten by miscreants on March 26.

Akhtar claimed that he was beaten up by miscreants with iron rods in the presence of police officers. The police arrived at the spot, but he was attacked even before they could rescue him.
