To deal with the coronavirus epidemic, the central government has released funds to the states. Modi government has given financial assistance of Rs 17,287 crore to the states. In a meeting chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah, it was approved to give Rs 11,092 crore to the states from the State Disaster Risk Management Fund. On the other hand, the Finance Ministry has also released Rs 6,195 crore to 14 states as revenue deficit grant.
