Acyclone that's likely to form in the southern Bay of Bengal by tomorrow evening will bring rain to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Odisha and West Bengal, the IMD said.On Thursday, the weather office dispatched an alert on the brewing storm, Cyclone Amphan, to the National Disaster Response Force and the chief secretaries of eight states and Union Territories.

भारतीय मौसम विज्ञान विभाग ने दक्षिण-पश्चिम और उससे सटे पश्चिम-मध्य बंगाल की खाड़ी में 16 मई की शाम को एक चक्रवाती तूफान की भविष्यवाणी की है. आईएमडी ने कहा है कि दक्षिण-पूर्वी बंगाल की खाड़ी में निम्न दबाव का क्षेत्र बना हुआ है. अगले 12 घंटों में यह डिप्रेशन बन जाएगा, ऐसे में 16 मई की शाम को इसके चक्रवाती तूफान में बदलने की संभावना है. इस तूफान का नाम अम्फान है यह नाम थाईलैंड ने दिया है. देखें वीडियो
