Tamil Nadu: ‘Vaigai Peru Vizha’ festival celebration began in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai. It is a 12-day festival held at river bed of Vaigai. On the 8th day of celebration, special prayers were held for cows. 60 cows were garlanded. Hundreds of devotees thronged the temple to participate in the festival.
