Teachers' Day in India has always been a time to remember the contribution of teachers in our lives. During his tenure as the President of India, from 1962 to 1967, his students and friends requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday on September 5. However, Dr Radhakrishnan denied such a pompous show.

आज Teachers' Day है। आज 5 September को टीचर्स डे मानाया जाता है। शिक्षक दिवस देश के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति, प्रथम उपराष्ट्रपति और जाने-माने शिक्षाविद रहे Dr Radhakrishnan के जन्मदिन पर मनाया जाता है.भारत में 1962 से डॉ सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन के जन्मदिन को शिक्षक दिवस के तौर पर मनाया जा रहा है।
