In Pune district, the polling will be held in two phases- while Pune and Baramati constituencies will go to polls on April 23, Maval and Shirur constituencies will be polling on April 29. In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Pune recorded a polling percentage of 54.14%. BJP’s Anil Shirole defeated Congress’ Dr. Vishwajeet Patnagrao Kadam by 315,769 votes.
