The Congress alleged Saturday that the BJP has hatched a plot to murder All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge and his entire family. Randeep Singh Surjewala, AICC general secretary in-charge of Karnataka, released an audio clip of a purported conversation between Chittapur BJP candidate Manikanta Rathod and a local BJP leader in which Rathod is heard saying that he would “wipe off” the wife and children of Kharge. The BJP leader is in the fray against Mallikarjun Kharge’s son Priyank Kharge in Chittapur constituency.
