Emergency services are continuing to hunt for a 59-year-old woman who went missing in the River Kelvin following an incident.

Police were called to a report of concern for two people on the evening of the 11 October, and a man was rescued hours later.

Officers are now patrolling the water in kayaks, while the man is being treated in hospital.

Next up, Glasgow Airport is preparing for one of the busiest periods of the year and is expected to welcome over 120,000 holidaymakers during the October holidays.

The Airport said they had recruited additional staff members to help cope with the influx and have been working with airline partners to ensure passengers are supported.

And finally, Glasgow City Council have approved a plan to build over 300 new flats on the Shawlands Arcade site, despite a number of objections.

These will be contained within three buildings ranging from five to 14 storeys tall.
