Singapore engineer pivots from oil rigs to 'fish farm of the future'
A retired engineer in Singapore, aiming to enhance local food sustainability, has established Eco Ark, a high-tech fish farm floating off the coast. The aquafarm, supported by officials, produces significant quantities of seabass, grouper, and threadfin, with a monthly harvest of 30,000 tons—20 times more efficient than traditional open-net cage farms.
