A 62 year-old retiree was killed in a freak accident near his Cushe village, Rio Claro home on Thursday.

The father of two was overseeing the moving of logs by a tractor when tragedy struck.

He had spent recent years gardening and even gathered a significant social media following for his frequent posts on country life and home-grown, home-cooked meals.
