It is an 8 mil. thick polyurethane film, engineered to the exact lid dimension covering the top, the edges, and ½ down each side. If the lid is already damaged . . there is a special formulation in the adhesive that actually covers or cosmetically repairs most minor scuffs and abrasions that are already found on the painted surface of the lid . . making old lids look absolutely new.
