Payments of Up to $1,400 Coming for 1 Million Eligible Taxpayers, IRS Confirms

The IRS will automatically send up to $1,400 payments to 1 million eligible taxpayers who missed the 2021 Recovery Rebate Credit. Payments, totaling $2.4 billion, will be issued by late January 2025 without requiring taxpayers to file amended returns.
