Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito revealed he spoke with Donald Trump regarding a former clerk's potential role in the president-elect’s administration the day before Trump sought a Supreme Court delay in his New York sentencing. Alito stated the conversation focused solely on Levi’s qualifications for a government position and did not touch on any pending or future court matters. Trump’s legal team has asked the Supreme Court to delay sentencing in his hush-money case involving 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.  Alito has previously faced scrutiny over potential conflicts related to Trump.
