China hopes relevant parties can see the peace deal in Gaza as an opportunity to promote de-escalation in the region, the Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said.

Guo Jiakun said it was also hoped the agreement would be effectively implemented to achieve a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
