Laganscape has been named as a finalist in the 'Best Environment Project Category' of the National Lottery Awards 2010. The awards recognise the amazing work being done by lottery-funded groups across the UK. The aim is to highlight the significant difference that projects - both large and small - make to communities everywhere and to celebrate the achievements of the people behind them.
Lagan Valley Regional Park is Northern Ireland’s first and only Regional Park, covering 4,200 acres of countryside and 11 miles of riverbank. As such a large and iconic space, the Laganscape project is keen to ensure that the community have some say in its management, as well as improving the park in general through a variety of partnerships with different organisations.
