U.K. emergency services are working round the clock to find two miners stuck in a South Wales coal mine after a flash flood.
Initially seven miners were trapped, but three managed to escape and the bodies of two others have been found by rescuers.

"This is a dynamic ongoing search and rescue operation and all emergency services are working hard to get all of the miners out of there as soon as possible."
Police say there is a possibility the miners were separated when a wall collapsed, flooding the main 250 meter tunnel.

"It's quite possible, in the circumstances, that as the incident occurred the team has split. They have depending on where they were located on which is the best route to take. ."
Officials have not been in contact with the missing miners since the incident, but they believe there are still air pockets in the mine.
Rescuers are trying to drain the mine and remove debris, but it will take time to reach the miners' location.

"This is a very serious tragedy, the like of which we have not known in South Wales and within these mining valleys, for a very long time and it's pretty terrible."
