http://www.FTV.com/videos LONDON - The girls at the Julien Macdonald show for London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012 look tough. They wear slicked back hair, dark black sunglasses, and menswear inspired basics in a new and edgy way (a moto tunic here, a black vest there.) Later, as the collection moves forward they look less threatening and more ladylike, with an edge. Julien Macdonald's collection is sharp and structured, with darker digital graphics (sort of like the black floral concept) and a bit of geometry thrown in. And don't forget that the slicked back hair was in color (designers have been keen on this idea since NYFW!) His idea of self-proclaimed "modernist glamour" as quoted by Macdonald himself hits a hight note here even in the gowns later on in the show.
